Do you have questions about what the Middleborough Housing Authority does? Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions (FAQs).

The Middleboro Housing Authority (MHA) provides low-income housing for elderly, disabled, and family tenants. The MHA manages 356 units in three public housing developments within the town of Middleboro. The MHA also manages 162 vouchers through the Section 8 & MRVP rental assistance programs.

Eligible applicants are able to apply for state-aided housing by picking up an application at our administrative office on 8 Benton St. in Middleboro, MA. Applicants are also able to download the universal application online, and either mail or submit the application in person to the administrative office. It is important that all areas of the application are completed before submission.

Preferences for State-Aided housing are as follows: local residents and veterans.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the MHA of any changes in income, family composition, employment status, address, or phone number change, etc. All changes must be submitted in writing. Failure to report changes may cause your application to be purged from the waiting list and will require you to re-apply for Public Housing or Section 8.
